The Velodrome at Rio de Janeiro’s Olympic Park will once again become the center of attention for the global para-cycling community in 2025. In just 30 days, from October 16 to 19, the city will host the UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships for the third time. Following the successful editions in 2018 and 2024, Brazil reaffirms its status as a benchmark in organizing major international sporting events by hosting the most important competition of the season.
Over four days of intense racing, the world’s top para-cyclists will compete in sprint, pursuit, time trial, and other track events featured in the championship program. Spectators can look forward to thrilling head-to-head duels and potential new records at a venue that has already seen some of the sport’s greatest moments.
Fans will be able to follow every detail of the races through live broadcasts on multiple platforms. Coverage will be available on the official YouTube channels of the Brazilian Cycling Confederation (CBC) and the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), as well as on television via the LMC+ channel, available on Claro TV (Channel 548) and Vivo TV (Channel 612).
Volunteer Program
The Para-cycling Track World Championships also offer a unique opportunity for those who wish to experience a world-class sporting event up close. Volunteer registration is now open on the official event website. In 2024, more than 90 volunteers joined the support team and played a key role in the success of the championship.
This year, the invitation is once again open to everyone interested in contributing to one of the biggest events on the international calendar. Applications can be submitted at https://2025uciparatrack.com/voluntarios/.
The 2025 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships are organized by the Brazilian Cycling Confederation (CBC) and TBA Sports Management, under the supervision of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), with sponsorship from the Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB), Shimano, and the Federal Government of Brazil, through the Ministry of Sports. The event also receives support from Santini, the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro, and the Cycling Federation of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FECIERJ).
